Contribute

Help build a record people can trust.

Origins is designed for contributions that add context, sources, corrections, and accountable review—not anonymous content volume.

Share context

Add a correction, regional note, known variant, or language context.

Recommend a source

Point editors to a book, paper, recording, collection, or documented account.

Review a record

Help assess clarity, attribution, terminology, and whether publication is appropriate.

Offer archive material

A future pathway for recordings, transcripts, manuscripts, and photographs.

A transparent process

From contribution to publication

Direct submission tools are not open yet. The current contribution pathway begins with a scoped enquiry and never requires sending sensitive material by email.

  1. 1

    Receive and acknowledge

Record what was shared, by whom, and with what publication permissions.

  2. 2

    Review and add context

Check sources, terminology, variants, restrictions, and the contributor's preferred attribution.

  3. 3

    Publish with provenance

Keep named contributors, sources, and editorial notes visible on the record.
